Nickie VanMeter

Nickie VanMeter is an artist and illustrator living in San Francisco. Influenced by mythology and fantasy stories, her work depicts characters in fantastical settings. Nickie is fascinated by the ways that fantasy art can allow us to newly appreciate our real world. She loves to work with pastels because of the soft blends of color and magical textures the medium allows.

Nickie has studied art primarily through mentorships with Smart School and her work has been featured in the Infected by Art annual.
