The simple ceramic material that comes from the ground and becomes shapes and figures before our eyes lends us a feeling of serenity and security. Extensive and dedicated handwork is honed and practiced on my sculptures to exhibit the tenacity and delicacies of human life and the perception of our senses. They narrate a story of home, of loving, and of a longing that is part of my present life living away from my hometown in the East.

In my artwork Hear Me Now, I created a moon jar with an open door to symbolize the human longing for connection and expression. The moon jar rests gently upon a soft seating cushion, inviting viewers to explore its silent invitation to communicate and connect with others. With the open door, I hope to convey the idea that each of us holds within us a desire to share our stories, dreams, and innermost thoughts with the world.  We are all here to speak about ourselves, so Hear Me Now is yourself.
