Lesley Kice Nishigawara
Lesley Kice Nishigawara is an fiber and textile artist working with different scale projects based in Fullerton, CA. Viewing the world through a lens of organizational patterns, Nishigawara’s work amplifies both habitual nature of searching for familiarity and the need for systemic order. The small scale works serve as snapshots of instances where what is man-made and what is organic blend together in a single frame. The grid is a guide for her vision to unfold while refining the capabilities of the loom. This approach transfers over into the artist’s clothing line and as an independent textile designer. Nishigawara has been exhibited internationally and featured in several publications.
